Hello there
My name is Robbie and I have picked Photography as one of my GCSE options. I chose photography as a subject because of how important it is to me to be able to capture moments in our lives and express oneself through pictures and images. I am not an expert in the subject (yet!) but I do find pleasure and comfort in taking photos naturally and in every day life to appreciate the beautiful world that we live in and all the small details we might miss from day to day.
Once again I do not consider myself a professional photographer since I have only really used my Phone Camera to take my photos. They are relatively high quality but I can't wait to be using proper cameras in the GCSE course.
I have always been fascinated by the use of photography in film (especially black and white) because it is basically required of every film but all films use it in different ways. The film Godzilla (1954) first sparked my interest in photography because of the unflinching atmosphere that the photography produced which really added to the film and captured that feeling of fear and dread through each black and white frame, perfectly mirroring the atomic bomb (what Godzilla represents).
